10/24/2014 0 Comments October 24th, 2014Here's another photo from yesterday's Lung Volume Lab. Mr. Milledge got in on the fun and had a friendly competition with some students to see who had a larger lung volume. It was too close to call! Many students had a flu shot yesterday, so we started class today with a discussion about what a "vaccine" actually is. Our discussion than switched to learning about different Respiratory Disorders and Diseases. We are almost done this quick unit on the Respiratory System and students will be completing the assessment early next week. Be sure to ask to see your child's study guide!

Groups with Ms. Belanger and Mr. Radmore learned a bit more about research skills and note-taking while working on their projects. Students have come up with some very unique ways to show their understanding of Newton's Laws. Can't wait to see their final projects!!

To introduce the topic, we watched the Brainop video on the topic and then read a little bit of information about burps and hiccups, two topics related to the respiratory system. Students were then asked to draw and label a diagram of the respiratory system for next class.
